Houses for Thais Porject

The ‘Houses for Thais’ project was initiated to reduce housing inequality and improve the quality of life for Thai citizens.

Who is the developer? : SRT Asset Co., Ltd.

The government utilized land owned by the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), which has high potential for development into housing projects. This initiative not only provides homes for citizens but also stimulates economic growth in various regions across the country. The project’s initial phase includes four pilot locations: Bang Sue, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rak, and Thonburi, with land sizes ranging from 9.38 to 23.00 rai.

The project also offers citizens the opportunity to purchase their first homes with monthly installments as low as 4,000 THB for 30-40 years at an interest rate of just 2.5%, supported by the Government Housing Bank. This significantly reduces the financial burden on homebuyers.

Eligibility Criteria for ‘Houses for Thais’ Project

1. Must be a Thai citizen.

2. Must be of legal age at the time of registration.

3. Must have a monthly income of no more than 50,000 THB at the time of registration.

4. Must not currently own any type of residential property.

5. Must not have previously benefited from the ‘Houses for Thais’ project.

Terms of Purchase for ‘Houses for Thais’

1. Each individual may only reserve one unit per project. However, if the right to purchase in one project is denied, the individual can apply again for a unit in the same province.

2. Transferring ownership rights is prohibited for five years from the registration date.

3. Units cannot be rented out or used for commercial purposes that benefit others. However, family members of the buyer are allowed to use the property.

Registration for ‘Houses for Thais’

Registration is available through two channels:

1. Online via www.บ้านเพื่อคนไทย.th – open daily.

2. On-site at Krungthep Aphiwat Central Station until January 31, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily.
